Australia captain Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of his side’s opening match against Ireland at the Men’s T20 World Cup after suffering internal testicular bleeding in a training ground accident. Marsh, 34, was struck in the groin by a ball in training earlier this week. “Scans have confirmed internal testicular bleeding, and he will require a period of rest and rehabilitation. Australia’s preparations for the T20 World Cup have already been hit by injuries to fast bowlers Josh Hazlewood, Mahli Beardman and Pat Cummins, who were both ruled out of the tournament. Travis Head captained Australia in Marsh’s absence against Ireland, and was run out for six in the second over.
