From The Tribune staff reportsARGO — A 62-year-old Argo man was shot and killed by his ex-wife on Friday, August 11. At around 10:35 a.m. today, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office was called to the 8800 block of Gadsden Highway to assist Argo Police Department in the investigation of a domestic shooting that had occurred shortly before. According to witnesses, a 62-year-old male was shot to death by his ex-wife, 58-year-old Grace Dunaway Yancey. Yancey was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where she is being held on the charge of intentional murder. In accordance with “Aniah’s Law”, she is being held with no bond.
