GCAA grants Air Tanzania operator certificateIn October 2025, the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) granted a Validated Foreign Air Operator Certificate (VFAOC) to Air Tanzania, paving the way for the airline to commence operations between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The Validated Foreign Air Operator Certificate (VFAOC) is an authorisation issued by the National Civil Aviation Authority to a foreign airline, permitting it to conduct commercial air transport within the country’s airspace. The entry of Air Tanzania makes it the 26th international airline to serve Ghana’s aviation sector.
