Activities celebrate Lunar New Year abroadMany activities celebrating Vietnamese traditional new year festival (Tet), which falls on February 16 this year, have been held among the Vietnamese community abroad. Participants chanted and prayed for peace, luckiness and happiness in the lunar New Year. At a recent get-together to celebrate the Year of the Dog with Dutch friends and representatives from diplomatic agencies in the Netherlands, Vietnamese Ambassador to the European country Ngo Thi Hoa stressed 2017 witnessed the fruitful development of the Vietnam-Netherlands relations. She hoped Vietnam will continue receiving cooperation and assistance from its partners and friends, thus making greater achievements in the coming time. On the occasion of the Tet festival, overseas Vietnamese in France shared their desires and plans to promote economic ties between the two nations in 2018.
