Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) member hospitals have a decreased number of admitted Covid-19 patients both in ICU and normal wards since the last two weeks particularly at the Greater Klang Valley. Private hospitals have lesser decanted patients from the public hospitals too. This has been one of the largest transfer of patients to the private hospitals which had significantly assisted public hospitals in managing Covid-19 during the peak about two months ago. In Sibu, Sarawak there has been outsourcing of non-Covid-19 patients to two private hospitals and one private hospital in Kuching is now accepting Covid-19 self-paying patients. The country will have an increase in revenue from the private hospitals once the process of accepting and treating medical tourist is allowed.
