CAIRO - 24 October 2023: In a heartbreaking update on the situation in Gaza, the death toll resulting from Israel's ongoing offensive has tragically risen to over 5,300 Palestinians, as reported by the Cairo News Channel, citing Palestinian television. The Palestinian Ministry of Health had previously announced that the number of martyrs from the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza overnight had reached 140. Palestinian sources in the region revealed that Israeli warplanes had demolished a residential building in Rafah, resulting in the tragic loss of 48 lives, with dozens more wounded. Additional reports from the Gaza Strip indicate that Israeli warplanes targeted a residential building in the Tal al-Sultan area of Rafah, leading to casualties among civilians. Israeli military aircraft also struck a residential area known as "Al-Faluja" in the northern part of Gaza, causing more casualties and injuries.
