At least 35 people, including women and children, sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded in Gazipur's Kaliakair on Wednesday. They were treated at several wards at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery with burn injuries, said Health Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen. Five people, including children, have been kept in the ICU and four in the High Defense Unit (HDU), Dr Sen added. Locals said a fire broke out in a cooking gas cylinder at a house in Telir Chala area of Mouchak in Kaliakair Upazila of the district around 6:00 pm. Later, they were shifted to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
