The Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum has long been a popular destination on journeys to explore Dien Bien. It welcomed more than 150,000 visitors last year, with the panorama of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954 remaining its most appealing exhibit. The museum’s exhibition hall also displays more than 1,000 artifacts that vividly depict the Dien Bien Phu Victory. In addition to historical tourism, with relics from the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, Dien Bien province, with a diverse community of 19 ethnic groups and beautiful natural landscapes, is a vibrant and colourful tourism destination in its own right. In 2024, with the National Tourism Year coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, nearly 170 events are expected to take place around the province.
