20-year-old student from India dies in Canada after being hit, dragged by truck

Representational Image Photo : IANSToronto ( Canada ): A 20-year-old student from India was killed after being hit and dragged by a pickup truck while crossing a road on a cycle in Canada, according to a media report. Parveen Saini informed the news from Karnal in Haryana, where Kartik’s family is settled, reports added. Meanwhile, the family of the victim is hoping that Kartik's body will be sent to India soon for the last rites, Parveen added. The Indian student of his cycle died after being hit and dragged by a pickup truck in midtown, it said in a press release on Thursday. Though emergency services immediately reached the spot and tried to free the cyclist but failed and he was pronounced dead at the spot, reported PTI.
