THÁI BÌNH — Twelve workers are being treated in hospital after a fire at a workshop that makes gas lighters. The blaze started at Hoa Việt Co Ltd in Nguyên Xá Commune, Đông Hưng District, the northern province of Thái Bình around 11am on Thursday. The Đông Hưng General Hospital said that at about 11.45am, it received eight patients with serious burns who were transported by personal cars. A preliminary assessment by the hospital showed that no victims suffered from respiratory failure and were all treated actively and urgently. Following the wishes of the company and the victims’ families, by 2.30pm, the hospital transferred 11 cases to the Thái Bình Provincial General Hospital.
