Some Machakos County Government inspectorate officers were on Wednesday arrested for allegedly attacking an MCA within court premises. The county askaris were arrested after a court official called a senior police officer in the county stating that the court was under attack. The inspectorate officers attempted to unsuccessfully arrest Kalama MCA Boniface Maeke at Machakos Law Courts premises when the drama ensued. Maeke resisted the arrest by the officers before some of his colleagues and members of the public intervened. The arrested county staffers were directed to record statements at the Machakos police station DCI offices.
