It was developed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom. It is a valuable resource for anyone involved in international trade in Pakistan. RAWALPINDI - The police on special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani launched a search operation in Dheri Hassanabad and adjoining areas in the jurisdiction of Civil Line police station, said a police spokesman. He informed that heavy police contingent, Elite Force, Special Branch personnel and ladies’ police along with officials of Civil Line police conducted search operations in and around Dheri Hassanabad. During the search operation, a total of 96 houses were searched, data of 29 tenants collected, 04 shops and a total of 246 suspects were questioned. The spokesman said search operations to net criminals and proclaimed offenders were regularly being conducted under National Action Plan in different areas of the district particularly to ensure law and order.

GENEVA: FIFA won the latest ruling Monday of an international, multi-case fight by soccer player agents to block rules that would regulate their industry and cap their fees. FIFA also wants to prohibit player agents from representing both the buying and selling clubs in a transfer. PROFAA said it was “extremely disappointed” by the CAS ruling and the effect it would have on thousands of agents’ livelihood. That FIFA group does not include some of the industry’s highest profile agencies which have said over several years they were not properly consulted about shaping the rules. The court also agreed the FIFA rules are not incompatible with laws in France and Italy and nor do they contravene the Major League Soccer collective bargaining agreement.

Sinkholes formed on the roads due to ongoing rains have disrupted traffic flow across the provincial capital. In Gawalmandi, an under-construction road gave way while a car was passing it following the rain on Saturday. District administration officials pulled out the vehicle with a crane and issued orders to fill the ditch after temporarily closing the road for traffic. Traffic in the Muslim Town area was also suspended because of a big sinkhole on the main road of the locality. A large number of potholes also disrupted traffic flow in Johar Town.
