After The Washington Post’s owner and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos similarly made a decision not to endorse, 250,000 readers reportedly canceled their subscriptions. “The temptation is to speak in muffled tones about an issue the international courts have called a plausible genocide. It was more courageous in not endorsing than endorsing either candidate in support of this inaction.

Penn State police are investigating the incident in which Jason Kelce smashed a fan’s phone ahead of Saturday’s Nittany Lions’ game against Ohio State, a spokesperson told The Associated Press. I’m not proud of it, and in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing. Opinion: This wretched campaign is over. Thank goodness. Now what?
That said, I love election day. I love election day too. But, like many, I don’t see this presidential election as about Democrat or Republican. There are fundamental values on the line, even beyond democracy — women’s rights, civil rights, the safety of immigrants. But I will venture this: Nobody knows what’s going to happen on this election day or who’s going to win.
