A former British, Commonwealth and World cruiserweight boxing champion hopes a sports bar, which will be named in his honour, could inspire the next generation of sport stars. Glenn McCrory visited Stonham Barns Park last week to check on the progress of The Glenn McCrory Sports Bar, which is due to be completed by the end of the month. The Tyneside boxing giant, who fought some of the most famous names in boxing prior to a career as a commentator, first met leisure group owner Alan Forward – a lifelong boxing fan – a few years ago.
