Hundreds of twilight women have invaded Eldoret town to cash in on the harvest season when most farmers tend to get overly generous with their earnings. Ms Jepkoech added that she has been actively involved in planting, weeding and harvesting of wheat and maize but her husband has selfishly squandered the entire amount on commercial sex workers in just a week. “I am strongly against the sex workers as their aim is only to drain our husbands’ pockets and bank accounts,” said Peninah Rono, another housewife. However, some of the men, majority who are farmers, have warmly welcomed the arrival of the commercial sex workers in the town. However, Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan has warned residents to cautious with these commercial sex workers and report any cases of crime to the police.
