Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko admitted to facilitating the illegal sale of a Sh29 million plot of land in Mombasa. I identified some land in Nyali belonging to Afzal Shah and I introduced him to Pandya advocates," Sonko said. Shah is also charged with swindling the buyers of Sh29 million between July 31 and September 17, 2009. "I physically saw the land on sale but cannot recall the date on which the agreement was signed because I never witnessed it,” said Sonko. The payment was carried out by Afzal Ahmedali Shah, the alleged owner of the land.
