TAWAU: Sabah police today said there is no evidence of any attempt by militant group from Marawi, in the Philippines, including its leader Isnilon Hapilon, trying to sneak into the state. State police commissioner Datuk Ramli Din said all security forces were in vigilant mode to face possibility of infiltration by the militants from the southern Phillipines. “The police in the past have succeeded in apprehending individuals in this State believed to be involved with the militant group. “Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) has also been keeping tabs on the Islamic State threats, besides increasing their intelligence and operations,” he said after visiting the fire victims at Kampung Hidayat Batu 4, Jalan Apas here. keywords: Sabah, Ramli Din, preparedness, infiltration, Islamist militant, Philippines, security forces, Marawi
