It was reported in the social media that Nabila's house help fled with the 30-month old girl after learning about her mother's passing. Her maternal grandmother also went to the police with a missing complaint. Police confirmed that Nabila’s mother had asked a relative to take her to the Mirpur residence from Nabila's Uttara house after the news of the air crash spread in the media. Both sides went to Uttara Police Station where it was decided that the girl would be staying with her paternal grandmother.
