However, an investigation by The Times can reveal Paul Blanchard was accused by a charity of wasting its money and owes former staff tens of thousands of pounds in unpaid wages. Mr Blanchard, who describes himself as a “consigliere”, a mafia term for an advisor to the leader, also made false claims to Calvin Harris, international chart-topping DJ, that he could secure him a knighthood. The 45-year-old ex-Labour parliamentary candidate and advisor to Anthony Scaramucci, a former White House aide and Rob Stringer, the CEO of Sony Music, told one worker owed money she was “trying to leverage in your disabled son in an effort to gain pity points”.
