June 18, 2019Ethiopia’s Oromia region Enterprise and Industry Development Bureau, says it has created jobs for 165, 173 unemployed youth during the last three months. The report stated that construction, trade, services, agriculture and manufacturing sectors are the areas the youth have got jobs. Mr. Sileshi stated that his office will be focusing on graduate students from higher education. In Ethiopia unemployment has been a major challenge for the government, which was forced to embark on major reform. Reports show that while the total number of Ethiopians entering the job market every year is estimated between 2 to 3 million, the country has managed to provide jobs to only about one million of them.
