During this week, it is planned to instruct schools, institutions, drivers and public transport officials on how to reduce motor accidents. The National Week on Road Safety is to be commemorated every year on 21st November. This action was taken due to the increasing motor accidents being reported everyday. The government said that 2,113 individuals had been killed due to road accidents last year.
