Over the years, these families, accrue what we refer to as generational wealth. Generational wealth (colloquial ‘old money’) is mostly found in old, noble families, mainly of European, Asian or Arab ancestry. Very few affluent African families belong to the generational wealth class. Generational wealth often has such a solid foundation that it would never waver even during the harshest of times. Forcing children to take over family businesses is the beginning of the demise of any business.
