Dozens of aggrieved party members stormed the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, on Thursday to seek the intervention of the party’s leadership in what they described as a travesty of justice. The protesters, who were prevented from taking the law into their own hands by the police, asked the party to sack its National Organising Secretary, whom they accused of complicity in the controversy which greeted the exercise. As security men at the gate resisted the attempt by the protesters to forcefully gain entrance, the protesters became unruly prompting the intervention of the police. He also submitted a letter addressed to the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, stating their grievances and listing their demands. “Sir, the National Organising Secretary of APC, Sen. Osita Izunaso, is hell-bent on causing confusion in Imo state to frustrate Owelle Rochas Okorocha out of the party.
