The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has appointed a new provost in an acting capacity for the college of medicine (LASUCOM) situated within its teaching hospital complex in Ikeja. His appointment was approved by the Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun. ALSO READ: NECO warns on fake recruitment syndicateThe university’s spokesman, Mr Ademola Adekoya, who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen, on Thursday, said that Professor Fagbohun greatly thanked the former acting provost for what he described as her leadership and selfless service while her tenure lasted as acting provost of the college. Adekoya also said the vice-chancellor equally praised Professor Ogbera for what he called laudable achievements and developmental strides recorded by the college during her tenure, charging the new provost to do better. Until his new role, Professor Adewuya, an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, is the director of Linkages at LASU main campus and a former acting Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences of LASUCOM.
