Thanksgiving festivities might be best spent indoors this Monday due to soggy weather conditions in Toronto. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement with “appreciable rain” expected overnight Sunday and into Monday morning. It is all from the remnants of now-Tropical Storm Nate, which brought a burst of flooding and power outages to the U.S. Gulf Coast over the weekend. The rain is expected to start this evening in regions north of Lake Erie and move northeast over Lake Ontario into the GTA. According to Environment Canada’s statement, “the hurricane is now weakening rapidly and travelling north to northeastwards.
