French inflation revised upward in March as food prices keep climbing

By Ed FranklFrance's level of inflation eased less than first anticipated in March, as soaring food prices offset cooling energy prices. Food prices continued to drive inflation, jumping an upwardly revised 15.9%, compared with 14.8% in February. France's month-on-month inflation rate in March was also revised upward to 0.9%, from 0.8% previously, on the rise in prices of manufactured goods and tobacco, Insee said.
