A fire, which broke out at a spinning mill in Bagher Bazar in Gazipur, has been brought under control after six hours. AktaruzzamanLiton, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said the fire broke out at the cotton godown of Mosharraf Composite Textile Ltd around 3am on Thursday and soon engulfed other parts of the mill. He said seven firefighting units from Tongi, Joydebpur, Sreepur and Bhaluka went to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 9am, after six hours of frantic efforts. Machineries and a number of cotton belts were gutted in the fire. However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
