CAIRO – 21 January 2021: Egypt’s Health Ministry warned citizens against people claiming to be affiliated with the ministry to trick people into revealing their personal information. The Health Ministry warned citizens that such phone calls seek to use their personal data to exploit people or blackmail them. On Sunday, Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said Egypt has managed to secure around 132 million coronavirus vaccine doses in 1,393 vaccination centers. Abdel Ghaffar said the country has so far provided about 60.5 million vaccine doses to citizens in addition to half a million third booster shots. Children of the age group 12-15 have got 206,000 vaccine doses, while those of the age group 15-18 got about 1.4 million shots, Abdel Ghaffar added.
