In the neighboring county of Pingtung, flooding was reported in urban and low-lying areas. According to the Water Resources Agency, the heavy rains in Kaohsiung and Pingtung are expected to continue, with more flooding likely. In Nantou County in central Taiwan, traffic was disrupted by mudslides on county roads, but they have since been cleared, the county government said.
