The delivery vans at Supervalu were said to be used for the delivery of essential goods to vulnerable and elderly peopleA teenager has been charged with vandalising three supermarket vans needed to deliver essential goods to about 1,000 vulnerable and elderly people during the pandemic. The vans were for grocery deliveries to those who must remain indoors due to the coronavirus outbreak. The boy, 15, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the Dublin children’s court yesterday. He was charged with criminal damage to three delivery vans at Supervalu, in Ballinteer, Co Dublin, in the early hours of March 31 last. Garda Aidan Keogh told Judge Brendan Toale that there was an objection to bail as he feared there could be repercussions.
