AT AN old wooden house in Kampung Selayang Baru, Gombak, Selangor, 40 employees of Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) were hard at work clearing the surrounding undergrowth. Out on the lawn, several boxes containing food items such as rice, cooking oil and flour, were placed on a table to be distributed to 10 needy households in the area. Its corporate communications head Sharizatul Elina Baseri said the company, through its Gombak region office, worked with local communities to identify households that needed assistance. Housewife Norlela Mohd Yusoff, 39, was moved to tears and thanked Air Selangor for the assistance. Norlela said she and her husband Abdul Wahab Ab Rahim, 38, were informed about the visit by Air Selangor by the village head a week ago.
