DOUG FIELD/STUFF Bob Mehrtens, of Timaru, won silver at the World Ploughing Championships in Kenya in December. Mehrtens said without the supportof the South Canterbury community "it could have been a different result". Mehrtens will compete in his tenth world ploughing championships in Germany in September.
