THE Bacoor City government placed its public market under a one-week lockdown after some of its vendors and marshals tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla issued Executive Order 35 closing the Bacoor City Public Market in Barangay Zapote starting at 10 a.m. of August 11 until 1 a.m. of August 18. According to the order, the City Health Office (CHO) conducted swab tests on about 200 vendors, marshals and tenants of the public market last August 7. The city government advised those who went to the market from August 5 to 10 to monitor their health and immediately contact their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERT) should symptoms develop. Some 800 to 1,100 vendors, stall owners and ambulant vendors were affected by the lockdown, according to the order.
