Our Special CorrespondentWolf Dietrich GosslerCalcutta: A 75-year-old Austrian who collapsed before boarding a flight at Calcutta airport on March 8 underwent a pacemaker implantation at a city hospital on Saturday. Wolf Dietrich Gossler, a resident of Graz, should be able to return home this week, said doctors at Charnock Hospital in New Town, where he was admitted after he fell ill."Gossler's condition is stable after the implantation of an MRI-compatible dual-chamber pacemaker," a hospital official said. She said Gossler was likely to be discharged in a couple of days. Gossler, who had undergone an aortic valve replacement a few years ago, had collapsed in front of a boarding gate at the airport while on his way home. He had arrived in the city from Puri on March 7.
