Armed man robs Waihi dairySIMON MAUD /FAIRFAX NZShopkeepers at a Waihi dairy were forced to lie down on the floor as an armed man robbed the shop. The man appeared to be holding a pistol when he entered the Maybelle Superette on Kensington Avenue early Thursday afternoon. Police are also appealing for any witnesses who may have entered the dairy before or after this robbery to come forward. Prior to the robbery the shopkeepers spotted the man on Kensington Ave at the public mail drop box. Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen the robbery in progress or who may have seen this man in the dairy's vicinity.
