The Algerian Red Crescent announced the launch of a solidarity campaign with the Libyan people, through establishing a humanitarian airlift provided by the Algerian army. In a statement on Monday, the Red Crescent explained that this process falls within the initiatives of the President of Algeria aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Libyan people. The aid includes 76 tons of food, medicine, clothing, tents and generators. "The step expresses Algeria's commitment and solidarity with the Libyan people to help them overcome the difficult circumstance they are experiencing," the statement read.
