Both Al-Ittihad and Ahly Tripoli football clubs have qualified for the next phase of the Libyan Football League, which is the four-round qualifier for the African Champions League and African Confederation Cup. Al-Ittihad qualified after defeating Al-Suwehli from Misrata by two goals to nil to secure the lead of group 3 by 18 points. Ahly Tripoli beat Al-Wahda 1-0 to lead group 4 by 14 points. Al-Ittihad will now face Ahly Benghazi in the next phase, while Ahly Tripoli will take on Tahady.
