A 70-year-old man’s body was found in the common area of his housing complex in New Town on Wednesday, police said. An officer of the Bidhannagar commissionerate said that they received an alert from the Greenwood Park housing complex that Rup Kumar Choudhury was lying in a pool of blood. ADVERTISEMENTChoudhury was last seen standing on a ledge on the 10th floor for a few seconds before he stepped off the ledge, an officer said. Choudhury used to stay in a first-floor apartment with his wife Sikha. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the couple used to stay alone and both their sons were settled abroad.
