Photo: Stephen Forbes / Stuff / LDRNew data from Te Whatu Ora shows 36 percent of Middlemore Hospital emergency department patients waited more than six hours to be seen in December. The target is for 95 percent of patients to be seen in less than six hours. The latest ED wait time statistics have been released after criticism over the accuracy of previous metrics. The only regions that fared worse in December were Wellington's Capital & Coast, where 47 percent of ED patients had to wait more than six hours, and MidCentral at 52 percent. Former Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand chairperson Rob Campbell said last month that workforce shortages plaguing Middlemore's ED would not be addressed in time for the winter flu season.

‘They’re not hiding behind anything’All Medicine NZ member companies committed to a voluntary reporting scheme, Mr Jarvis says, although some had nothing to declare, and one was undertaking a global IT restructure that prevented it from reporting in the 2021 year. The reports are “hugely transparent”, he says. “The doctor’s name’s there, the practice is there, how much money’s there and for what, and there’s no dollar limit…there’s no aggregation of data, it is what it is.”He says the level of transparency safeguards against allegations that doctors and medical staff are unduly influenced by the pharmaceutical companies. “They’re not hiding behind anything, this is very clear now, you can’t get more transparent than the reports as they are. I’d be very perturbed if people took the wrong end of the stick from that.”

Labour’s shift in focus is working. Now under Prime Minister Chris Hipkins Labour has a laser-like focus directed at the working class politics of places like West Auckland and the Hutt Valley. And potentially allows the Greens to take up more of Labour’s vote, while Labour wins back working class support from National. It drives me nuts.” Likewise, Chlöe Swarbrick said that Labour’s dropping the alcohol sponsorship reform was an “absolute slap in the face”. Writing today for Newsroom, political editor Jo Moir is scathing, saying “Labour has overtaken National as the party of doing nothing.

The Crusaders have suffered another injury blow losing their third All Black over the opening rounds according to a report by Stuff.co.nz. ADVERTISEMENTAfter losing All Black midfield pair Jack Goodhue and David Havili in consecutive weeks, tighthead prop Fletcher Newell has succumbed to a foot injury suffered against the Chiefs and will miss the rest of the season. The Crusaders are now without Newell and All Blacks XV rep Oli Jager in the front row for the season. It was a double blow for the Crusaders as lock Mitch Dunshea’s chest injury will see him miss his second straight season. “It was an incredibly physical game so I think the Crusaders won’t have kind of had that type of physicality against the Drua because it was a more free-flowing game.

Jayasuriya continued to send the ball too far down the leg side throughout the over, bowling to Daryl Mitchell, and was called for three wides. At the end of the over, Sri Lanka were clearly unhappy with wides being called. Speaking after the match, captain Dimuth Karunaratne said the team asked for clarity why spinner Jayasuriya had been targeted by the umpires, yet the seamers from both teams hadn’t. Prince Andrew, reportedly, inherited nothing from Queen Elizabeth II and all of it was passed down to new monarch King Charles. When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, her entire inheritance was automatically passed down to King Charles. Prince Harry whipped off the WillAccording to Royal commentator Daniela Elser, Prince Harry and the disgraced Duke of York are united by ‘some very bad news about wills.’ Daily Express reported that Prince Harry could get nothing from his father’s will just as Prince Andrew reportedly didn’t get anything from his mother's will. And that, obviously, has huge possible implications for one Prince Harry, whose brother Prince William could therefore very well inherit everything from Charles. Prince Harry is up for facing the same ordeal as Prince William will be handed over King Charles’ inheritance no questions asked.
