Police responded to multiple fights shortly after 1am on Sunday. Police are warning inner-city Auckland revellers that they will be held accountable for their behaviour after arresting five people when multiple fights broke out on Karangahape Road in the early hours of Sunday morning. A police spokesperson confirmed that they responded to a “large group of disorderly people” and multiple fights breaking out at around 1.20am on Sunday morning and took five people into custody. “Those arrested are aged between 17 and 21, and charges are still being considered,” police said. “Police remind those heading into the city to have a plan to get home safely, and that you will be held accountable for your behaviour,” the spokesperson told the Herald.

Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, a move most of the world denounced as illegal. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has demanded that Russia withdraw from the peninsula as well as the areas it has occupied since last year. Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov tweeted the deal had been renewed for 120 days, the period that Ukraine, Turkey and the UN wanted. They signed separate agreements with the UN and Turkey last year to allow food to leave Ukraine’s blockaded ports. Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced an extension of the vital grain deal organised between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UK.

Stuart Nash is hanging on in Cabinet after being demoted to the lowest ranking. A third incident involving Nash's conduct as a Government Minister came to light on Friday, in which he approached a Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment official about an immigration case. Chris Hipkins has gone on to say that any further lapses in Nash's judgement will result in his outright dismissal as a minister.
