(Reuters) - The Rodchenkov Anti-Doping Act (RADA) is essential to restoring integrity to international sports and protecting clean athletes but won't be able to keep the Tokyo Games clean, a Helsinki Commission hearing in Washington was told on Wednesday. "Sadly, RADA will not make the Tokyo games clean. They will not be clean, that much I guarantee," Jim Walden, attorney for Rodchenkov, told the hearing. He also said a second imperative would be to withhold funding for the World Anti-Doping Agency until more transparency and Executive Committee comprised primarily of former clean athletes and anti-doping scientists are achieved. "This law protects the U.S. financial investment in international competition; stops corrupt actors that organize and facilitate doping fraud; compensates clean athletes who have been defrauded; and protects whistleblowers and clean athletes," said Moses.

On a Sunday morning, former NTV7 and 8TV editor-in-chief Mohsin Abdullah suddenly sent me the video of the song "We're getting old, brothers" sung by Chinese singer Chen Min. Other than the singer's clean and almost ethereal voice, what stirred my emotions was the lyric that smoothly flowed into my ears. Our youth is slowly fading away,All that's left is remembrance,Thinking of my brothers in my dream,Life has not been easy. Our youth is slowly fading away,All that's left is remembrance,Thinking of my brothers in my dream,Life has not been easy. Some have retired today, or have switched to a different line, while two of them have left us early.

A unified data platform can also boost efficiency, speed time to market, and generate better customer service. This information is now being highlighted in the media with the purpose of putting the “high” number of cases in perspective to curtail unwarranted fear among the public. These numbers show that only 1.5% of the total cases are in the more worrisome last three categories. If not, the daily numbers and categories do not reflect the real situation on the ground. These numbers also form the basis upon which decisions on further actions or relaxation of standard operating procedures are made. Perhaps the main news media could highlight these three crucial numbers daily.
