In a statement, Archbishop Michael Jackson of Dublin said everyone is free to hold personal views and convictions on local and global matters. In recent days he attended a gathering of the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem in Jordan and also attended the inauguration of Rabbi Yoni Wieder as Chief Rabbi of Ireland. He will also be updated on Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City which the Irish diocese is linked to. An appeal for the hospital in Gaza by Dr Jackson has raised over €216,000 so far.

: UK prosperity demands a Government which values enforcementOveruse of debt financing has hobbled investment by Britain's privatised water utilities. Rail, water, energy and the universal service obligation for the Royal Mail clearly play an important part in all of our lives. Government foot-dragging on a settlement for postal services is among factors which exposed the Royal Mail to overseas ownership. The 2022 National Security & Investment Act was meant to avert such travesties, which have had a lasting effect on our growth capacity, innovation and tax take.
