Reportedly, 25 anti-Israel protestors were arrested, and their encampment was cleared up at Saturday's University of Virginia campus by the authorities. Police lift a pro-Palestinian demonstrator from the ground on the University of Virginia campus, in Charlottesville, Va., where tents are set up, Saturday, May 4, 2024. At least 25 individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of trespassing and transported to the Albemarle County Regional Jail. DMart Q4 net profit up 22.5%
Avenue Supermarts, which runs the DMart hypermarket chain, reported a 22.5 per cent rise in consolidated net profit in Q4 of FY24, on revenue that rose a fifth driven by mostly food, while, general merchandise and apparel saw a marginal uptick. The retailer reported net profit of ₹563.3 crore on revenue of ₹12,726.6 crore. For the full year, net profit rose 6.6 per cent to ₹2,536 crore and revenue was up 18.6 per cent at ₹42,840 crore. The share of FMCG, general merchandise and apparel were flat, with downward bias, discretionary spends still continuing to be a drag on retailers. FMCG items contributed 20.68 per cent to revenue and 22.37 per cent came from general merchandise and apparel.

Jagdalpur News: रेलमार्ग पर चट्टान से टकराकर मालगाड़ी का इंजन पटरी से उतरा, आंध्र जाने वाली ट्रेनें प्रभावितJagdalpur News: किरंदुल-कोट्टावालसा रेललाइन में बोडवारा और शिवलिंगपुरम स्टेशन के बीच रेलमार्ग पर चट्टान से टकराकर मालगाड़ी का इंजन पटरी से उतर गया।जगदलपुर। Jagdalpur News: किरंदुल-कोट्टावालसा रेललाइन में बोडवारा और शिवलिंगपुरम स्टेशन के बीच रेलमार्ग पर चट्टान से टकराकर मालगाड़ी का इंजन पटरी से उतर गया। घटना जगदलपुर से 230 किलोमीटर दूर आंध्रप्रदेश में रविवार सुबह 6.10 बजे की बताई गई है। घटना के चलते रेल आवागमन बंद हो गया है। विशाखापट्टनम से किरंदुल आने वाली पैसेंजर स्पेशल ट्रेन को विशाखापट्टनम में अभी रोक दिया गया है।रेललाइन का दोहरीकरण कार्य चल रहा है। अरकू और कोरापुट रेलखंड में रेलमार्ग अनंतगिरी घाट से गुजरती है। रेललाइन दोहरीकरण के लिए यहां पहाड़ों को काटा जा रहा है। जिससे कभी कभार चट्टानें पहाड़ से टूटकर पटरी पर गिर जाती है। विदित हो पिछले साल 23 सितंबर में कोरापुट रेलखंड में पहाड़ दरकने की घटना हुई थी।इंजन के पटरी से उतरने की घटना के कारण अरकु रेलखंड में रेल आवागमन बंद है। इस रूट पर चार यात्री ट्रेन चलती हैं। जिनमे एक गाड़ी प्रभावित हुई है। रेल अधिकारियों के अनुसार शाम तक लाइन बहाल कर दी जाएगी।

The first American and second human to fly in space then went on to become the fifth and only Mercury astronaut to walk on the moon when he commanded the Apollo 14 mission in 1971.

As much as he has every right to say this, this will only create mass panic. They should report it officially and govts across the world need to research and find out if there is a preventive measure for this. But who is to know if that 'preventive measure' won't create any complications. We lost 3 of our office colleagues (in the last 2 years) who were in their early 30s and totally healthy. None of them had any lifestyle diseases and were all fit and health conscious people.

Tamil Nadu police’s face recognition portal hacked; FIR, personal information up for sale
CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu police’s Facial Recognition Portal (frs.tnpolice.gov.in), a software used by the state police to track criminals and missing persons using facial recognition, has been compromised. The data samples have been made available for sale on the dark web and an analysis of the leaked samples indicate that 1.2 million lines of data including names of police officers, phone numbers, and FIR details have been accessed illegally. The data breach was brought to light by threat intelligence platform FalconFeeds.io. The compromised FIR details includes FIR ID, number, police station, investigating officer, date of registration, status of case, names in the FIRs, age, gender, parentage and address. “We are analysing the full data set and will be providing more information soon,” FalconFeeds said.

And yet, even in my most pessimistic and darkest moods, I would never have thought I would hear a Prime Minister attack and demonise a sizeable section of his own fellow citizens. These were the words spoken in Hindi: “Pehle jab unki sarkar thi, unhone kaha tha ki desh ki sampati par pehla adhikar Musalmano ka hai. Are they not the Muslims of India, our fellow citizens, with equal rights and liberties as every one of us? So forgive one last question: Is it fitting – no, more accurately, is it morally correct – for the prime minister of a secular democracy to speak of fellow citizens of a different faith in this manner?

The aspirants’ journey entails a sheer amount of hard work and a great deal of resilience, patience, and endurance. Ha, don’t waste your time.” Or, “Oh, that person was an IITian, and that is why they could clear it.”Having the service dream in itself is a courageous move. For most of us aspirants, it is a dream that holds meaning, a dream that can transform lives, a dream that goes beyond self and puts others first.
