Scientists have found dinosaur tracks in the Denali National Park before, but never anything on this scale. '”Stewart is a lead author of the study that analyzed what researchers say is the largest known dinosaur track site in Alaska. “We were exhausted, and we were seeing there [was a] wall that had some dinosaur tracks on it. “That might explain why you’ve got basically the same dinosaur as in Alberta and Alaska,” he said. Stewart is optimistic there are even more tracks to be found at Denali National Park in the future.

A recommendations after the murders of three local women was to create a new offence in the Criminal Code that targets coercive control. (Alexander Behne/CBC - image credit)As Canada's government looks at Scotland's first few years of criminalizing coercive control, a Scottish advocate told CBC Radio's Ottawa Morning how the law works there. Experts in Canada and around the world define coercive control as a pattern of behaviours ranging from harassment and intimidation to isolating someone from family and social supports, all with the aim of keeping the victim under the abuser's control. One called on Ottawa to create a new offence in the Criminal Code that targets coercive control. Yet the CBC’s approach to Bill C-18 and other government digital policies seems determined to do the opposite and, in doing so, threatens its future support. Simply put, the CBC should not be treated as an eligible news business under Bill C-18. Further, the CBC’s recent advocacy on Bill C-18 undermines both its mandate and the perception of its independence. This week’s public letter to Meta urging it to stop its compliance with Bill C-18 by blocking news links is a misstep on both counts. Much like its decision to join the weak Competition Act complaint, CBC management has gone out of its way to support the government’s position on Bill C-18 (and Bill C-11 before that).

A Pumpkin Spice Latte drink rests on a table at a Starbucks in New York, Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. Great Wolf Lodge is featuring a Pumpkin Spice Suite at five of its resorts this fall, decked out with potpourri, pumpkin throw pillows and bottomless pumpkin spice lattes. Comedian John Oliver once called pumpkin spice lattes “the coffee that tastes like a candle.” There’s a Facebook group called “I Hate Pumpkin Spice” and T-shirts with slogans like “Ain’t no pumpkin spice in my mug.”The haters, though, appear to be in the minority. Last year, Starbucks said sales of its pumpkin spice drinks — including newer offerings like Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew — were up 17% in the July-September period. But she’s not a fan of pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread — and she has a particular dislike for pumpkin spice lattes.

The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium (PRC), the industry organization overseeing its production, estimates that global sales of fake versions amount to roughly $2 billion each year. Each legitimate wheel bears marks of origin to help people ensure they’re buying the real deal, such as a “Parmigiano Reggiano” dotted inscription and a dairy identification number. “We won’t give up.”The PRC fixes a casein label to the rind during the first few hours of production, which contains edible microtransponders. “Parmigiano Reggiano is one of the world’s oldest and most famous cheeses, and it is a product that symbolizes Italian produce,” Nicola Bertinelli, president of the PRC, said in a statement. Of the G8 countries, Canada showed the biggest growth in imports with an unprecedented 36.8 per cent increase in demand.
