Egypt Today sat with Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization after a year has passed of the inauguration. Dr. Ghoneim said that the number of visitors to the museum during the year exceeded 800,000, which is a record figure. Foreign visitors come from different countries of the world, including Latin American countries, while for Egyptian visitors, he said that they come from various governorates of Egypt, whether individually or collectively, or through trips organized by schools, associations and others. It was also found by following the ages of visitors that different age groups are keen to visit the museum, from children and school students to the elderly.
