RECENTLY, my wife came back from her fortnightly grocery shopping with a heart-breaking story. The lady had lost her job recently and had run out of money to provide food for her family. It must be traumatic for people like this lady to admit defeat and put up the symbolic white flag. Sadly, though, the majority of the MPs seem to be more interested in politics. For the rakyat and businesses that are suffering due to the pandemic, the state of Emergency is not within striking distance of their list of top 10 problems they are currently facing.
