Hamas is appealing against the UK government’s decision to designate it as a terror group by claiming that the ruling breaches the European Convention on Human Rights. The organisation has instructed British lawyers to launch legal action in a bid to remove it from a Home Office list of terrorist organisations, which makes it a criminal offence to have any association or show support for the group in the UK.
