ExxonMobil has held key talks with officials in Algeria to discuss investment opportunities in a country where the US supermajor does not currently have an upstream foothold. The discussions - following on from talks last year - could be a precursor to a deal being signed in the ‘coming days,” according to Algeria’s Ministry of Mines& Energy, which talked up the benefits of its new hydrocarbon legislation.
