CAIRO – 12 May 2022: The Egyptian state continued its efforts to pump and establish water projects in the governorates of North and South Sinai, the most prominent of which was the work to establish the largest water station of its kind in the region of the Middle East countries. He further added that the total cost of the sewage sector in South Sinai reached 252 million pounds. The Governor of South Sinai stated that in the drinking water sector, a desalination plant was established in Tor Sinai, with a capacity of 30,000 m3/day, and 6 desalination units, and the amount of water production produced was increased to meet the city’s needs from the social housing project and King Salman University. Expansions were carried out to the West Tunnel station to increase the quantity of production Water from 35,000 m to 70,000 m3. The volume of investments for the establishment of the plant is 350 million pounds.
