CAIRO – 20 March 2022: Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Aty stated Saturday that the introduction of the canal carrying agricultural wastewater from western the Delta to Matrouh's Al Hammam treatment plant will be completed in a year. The canal will stretch over 114 kilometers, with 22 kilometers of that distance being in the form of pipes. The progress rate of the plant is 22 percent as pumping stations have been accomplished by 25-43 percent. The ministry also rehabilitated 60 kilometers of canals in the area, and placed 15 pumping stations. Speaking of Bahr Al Baqar Wastewater Treatment Plant launched in 2021, the completion rate of the two canals transporting treated water to land to be reclaimed in North and Central Sinai is nine percent.

CAIRO – 12 March 2022: The Cabinet's media center denied news reports about changing basic commodities listed in ration cards due to a shortage of goods. The center said in a statement on Saturday that it communicated with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, which refuted the news as "groundless." All supply commodities are available, the ministry said, adding large amounts are pumped daily at all outlets. It mentioned "Ahlan Ramadan" commodities fair will be launched next week in different governorates with greater discounts on goods. It urged all citizens not to be deceived by such reports and to immediately contact the ministry if they have any query.

Egyptian Ambassador to Madagascar Osama Said Khalil and a number of Malagasy officials received the shipment, Al Akhbar El Massay reported. The Malagasy officials expressed appreciation to the leadership and people of Egypt for their feelings of brotherhood and solidarity. They also praised Egypt's role in supporting their country in a way that reflects good relations and the bonds of friendship between two countries and peoples. According to the UN on February 7 2022, that Batsirai, with wind speeds of up to 165 kilometers per hour and wind gusts of up to 230km/h, hit several cities in Madagascar, the most affected districts of Nosy Varika, Mananjary and Manakara,It added that the cyclone caused more than 43,000 newly displaced across around 180 sites, and at least 211 schools impacted.

The Egyptian team visited the Romanian Red Cross headquarters in Bucharest, attended a video conference with the International Red Cross, the statement said, adding that the team met with Egyptian Ambassador to Bucharest Muayyed al-Dulai to have the necessary equipment to start their mission in preparation for heading to the border post of Siret, in the north-east of Romania. The Egyptian team includes Director of the Health Department of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society Mahmoud Tharwat, and supervisor of the Egyptian Red Crescent Operations Room and International Relief Officer Eng. The Egyptian embassy in Bucharest said on Wednesday urged all Egyptians who crossed the Ukrainian borders to take the buses heading for Bucharest, after the Romanian authorities decided to secure buses for free to transport those coming from Ukraine at the border access points. Minister of Immigration and Egyptians’ Affairs Abroad Nabila Makram has said that the Egyptian embassies in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary have put emergency numbers to follow up on students arriving at the borders of these neighboring countries.

Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang said that the two countries are cooperating to establish the largest cold storage facility for vaccines and serums in Africa. Furthermore, the ambassador disclosed that China has been Egypt’s largest trading partner in the past eight years. He added that Chinese investments in Egypt have also continued their business despite the coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, Liqiang noted that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries has reached $19bn, an increase of 37.3%. CAIRO – 3 March 2022: The Ukrainian embassy in Cairo expressed its deep gratitude to Egypt for the latter voting for a UNGA resolution demanding that Russia immediately end its military operations in Ukraine. “As always, Egypt supports the truth. Therefore, it was not surprising that Egypt - with all its status, civilization and wise leadership - denounced the unjustified brutal Russian aggression against Ukraine,” the embassy said in a statement on Thursday. Out of 193 UN Member States, a total of 141 countries voted in favor of the resolution, “which reaffirms Ukrainian sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.” Meanwhile, five countries (Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea, Russia and Syria) voted against it, while 35 abstained. CAIRO – 24 February 2022: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and the Egyptian Space Agency signed Wednesday a cooperation protocol for students at 100 technical schools to learn assembling artificial satellites. As such, students will understand how satellites function, their uses, how they get launched and operated, and how to derive data from them. Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency Mohamed el Qousy said in August that Egypt will launch four satellites for scientific research in 2022. The project is part of the strategy of the Egyptian State for upgrading the peaceful use of sciences and space technology, he pointed out in statements to MENA. The strategy includes building modern space systems with Egyptian technology for upgrading the country and supporting the Egyptian industry, he added.

During his show “Hadith al-Qahera” (Cairo Talk), broadcast on al-Qahera Wal Nas satellite channel, Eissa said that the incident of Miraj is fictitious, claiming that sheikhs present half-stories. He added that the tales about Miraj are propaganda fabricated by sheikhs, who ignore the narrations that deny the reality of Miraj.
